In the light

Photo by Broxrider

Blurry summer, you have given us a wonderful gift this year of light, sunshine and warmth. Thank you!

And thanks to Broxrider as always to help capture Manchester cyclists.

We are looking for more contributors to this blog as well as our Flickr group. If interested, please contact LC at ciaolc82 (@) yahoo.co.uk

A sunny aspect

"A sunny aspect" by ©Broxrider on Flickr

We are longing for more sunshine. The mustard coat certainly helps! Plus I find mixte frames to cheer me up no end... is it just me?

As a fellow female cyclist, I would like to point out the excellent example of riding in a skirt with dark tights, probably the most comfortable set up + safety in knowing your modesty will not be compromised!

Elegant Tricycle Lady

By Velocipedinerian

Well, this picture speaks for itself!

"She wasn't doing a Tweed ride, she wasn't on a vintage event. She was just popping into town on her tricycle, dressed as she pleases. How cool?"

Indeed, Velocipedinerian... how cool!

Cycle Chic? Bien Sûr!

No lycra here, nope, definitely not!

What a fantastic "1951 Raleigh Super Sport Tourist". Thanks Velocipedinerian!

Ride The Lights - Blackpool 2012

So, we take a step back in time, because we couldn't not share with you Velocipedinerian's photos of Ride The Lights - Blackpool of August 2012.

Great stuff V!

{What? Are you saying Blackpool isn't Manchester? That's true, but there's no Blackpool Cycle Chic established yet and the photos were too good to miss, so just sit back, relax and enjoy!}

Titled by V: "Rush hour in Utopia". Too right!

And the piece of resistance (imho)

Moustache Tweed {from October Tweed Ride}

Well, a tweed ride cannot be complete without superb examples of moustache and beard! Kindly modelled by Jonathan and David. Ta guys! Fine steeds too...

Thanks to Velocipedinerian for sharing.

Velvet elegance {from October Tweed Ride}

You can never go wrong with a warm, velvet jacket and this gentleman carries it just fine! Looks like a classic vintage he's riding too.

Thanks to Velocipedinerian for sharing.

Tweed Ride Manchester (05.10.12)

Velocipedinarian (phew!) has shared many excellent photos of the last Manchester's Tweed Ride (5th of October.

They are so good, we'll be sharing them over few posts... they will brighten us up as we move towards winter!

1st Instalment... enjoy!

Leaving the cafe (Withworth Street)

By the way, we find that our bikes inspire us to dress our best every day. You?
