@Anonymous - the top image is from Albert Square in front on the Town Hall and you can cycle on it.... especially at a gentle pace as that girl was doing and the last image is taken close to Piccadilly Gardens where pedestrians and cyclists have to (and do so amicably) share the pavement as the rest of the highway is taken over by the trams, tram-tracks and tramstops.
Shame about the pavement cycling from 2 of them.
